El Parasol: Reviews & Ratings

My favorite tamales, breakfast burritos (chorizo with green is so good), French fries (thin and perfectly salty), posole. I've been coming here since my childhood and it's still my favorite. I introduced my wife to their fare and she is now equally obsessed. The price of the food, too, is great, especially in these economically hard times. Everything that I've ever ordered has been so savory and just perfect. The red chile is complex and delicious, and homemade tortillas make everything taste better. If you're looking for catering, there are enchiladas casseroles that are so delicious and will always be a favorite at any function in which they're offered. I think I love El Parasol and their cooking more than my own mother's. It's what I crave when I'm ill and what I'm sure I'll crave when I'm old on my deathbed. It's just good, excellently seasoned food that feels good to digest, as weird as that reads. Cheers to you, El Parasol.

No time for a sit down breakfast then El Parasol is a great place to stop grab a breakfast burrito. My husband ate it all but gave me his review. Wonderful tasty filling breakfast burritos. Full of flavor ! Cashier was friendly enough. Choice of meat $7.75, they did not skimp on ingredients. Someone referred them to me for their tacos.. I'll have to go back and try them.

Outside just being a carry-out the food in a word was "great." I had the Carne Asada with green chilies, my wife had tortillas. I believe she had one chicken and one beef, all very good.

Always great food! Their green chile cheeseburger reminds me of how Lota used to taste. Their red chile is always on point!

We tried the takeout party pans of enchiladas. They were delicious and packed well, so they stayed hot. Surprisingly better than our other go-to place for enchiladas.

There are no finer New Mexico style tacos, burritos and tamales in the state. The adobada rocks. It's a tiny mostly takeout place that doesn't look like much but it puts most of the tourist traps to shame.

I thought the chicken tacos were great! The beans were also very good. I wish the salsa/hot sauce could have used some more salt and garlic but it was OK. The staff was super friendly!

If you want some decent, delicious, a damn cheap fast New Mexican food, check out this spot. The red chile is better than the green, although the green ain't bad either. I got Xmas. Tacos remind me of Perico's in ABQ but better. The red salsa is kind of sweet and I wasn't a fan, but the green is really good. All in all, I'll be back and you can't go wrong by doing the same. :)
